Occupational Therapy at Star Equestrians

At Star Equestrians, Occupational Therapy services are grounded in evidence-informed Occupational Therapy practice and focused on helping individuals develop the skills needed for meaningful daily life participation, independence, and overall well-being.

We work with children, teens, and adults to support development in areas such as sensory processing, emotional regulation, attention, motor coordination, executive functioning, and self-confidence. Services are individualized, goal-directed, and centered around each person’s unique strengths and needs.

Occupational Therapy sessions take place in our farm-based OT studio and may also incorporate nature-based and experiential activities when appropriate, including meaningful interaction with horses as a therapeutic tool to support engagement, regulation, and functional skill development.

Our approach integrates the science of Occupational Therapy with the calming and motivating environment of the farm, supporting participation through movement, connection, and real-world experiences.

We collaborate with families and caregivers to support carryover of skills into daily routines, school, work, and community life.
